5,000 Square-Foot Garden In The Middle Of Downtown Denver [VIDEO]

Farming in the middle of Downtown Denver? Blue Bear Farm at the Colorado Convention Center is growing basil, beans, peppers and raspberries at it's own garden on the south side of the center. Its goal? To produce food for the center's catering company.

The Blue Bear Farm includes two beehives to pollinate such produce as basil, cabbage, peppers and squash growing in raised beds.

Planning of the garden began almost two years ago and is part of Denver Mayor Michael Hancock's Denver Seeds initiative.
