Denver’s 7 News Anchor, Anne Trujillo, went public about noticeable changes in her hair, both on the air and in person over the weekend. Trujillo announced that she has been diagnosed with Alopecia Areata, an autoimmune skin disease that causes hair loss on the scalp.

In a statement released Monday, Trujillo said:
“Bad hair days, we all have them, and now I know this could very well be a perpetual issue for me,” Trujillo wrote. She’s healthy, in fact she just climbed a 14-er, but she’s gotten some unflattering comments about her appearance lately and so is going public.

In a Denver Post article, it stated that Trujillo plans to do reporting about this disease to bring some attention to it for others that may be dealing with it.
We wish the best for Anne as she battles this condition.
