According to 9NEWS, the approval by the Board authorizes CSU President Tony Frank to:
-
Embark on fundraising efforts for stadium. The initial goal is to raise at least half of the proposed $246 million stadium cost.
-
Go forward with a program development plan and add the stadium to the campus master plan.
-
Submit a financial proposal to the governing board.
-
If the fundraising goal isn't met by October 2014, Frank should be prepared
-
Work with the community to minimize impact, should the stadium go up.

Some opponents had concerns about parking challenges, noise, and pollution about the proposed $246 million, 43,000-seat stadium.
