Colorado Still The Fittest State In The Country
Lately, I have been focusing on being more acitive, but I'm still not as active as I'd like to be. I have been working on eating better and cooking more. Colorado remains the fittest state in the country, according to a report from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention. That means 20.7 percent of Colorado residents have a body mass index higher than 30. Thank goodness for so many days of sunshine in Colorado and all the great outdoor activities in our backyard from hiking to sking to swimming and riding bikes.

The CDC says 35 percent of Americans are obese, a condition that leaves them at greater risk of heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes and certain types of cancer.
In the information released the South had the highest obesity rate, the Midwest was second highest for obesity rates as a region, and the Northeast and West were the fittest.
