Memorial Day is a United States federal holiday which occurs every year on the final Monday of May. While it is a day off from work and an excuse to throw some burgers and hot dogs on the grill, It's main purpose is to remember the men and women who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces. I am honored to know and have known amazing Americans who have served our country including my Grandfather who served in the Army Air Corp which became the Air Force.

It is so hard to watch our friends and family climb out of the devastation from the tornado in Oklahoma! The stories of teachers covering their students, lost dogs returning to their families are amazing and hopeful in this horrible situation.

I'm going to go see JOHN EDWARDS tonight here in Denver. ( The Medium John Edwards NOT the politician.) I bought the tickets, it wasn't a promotional gimme and I have to admit I am a skeptic but I am hopeful he has some power, some connection. Edwards claims to be that connection to those friends and family members that have "crossed over".
My intrigue of his connection has compounded over the last couple of years as I lost my Mom, then my Dad and my best friend. I'll let you know how my experience unfolds tonight, but in the meantime ....did I just blow money and AM I CRAZY?

I am trying something I have never done before!! I am going for a facial. My first appointment with Facial Aesthetics is today! I have sat in the sun, baking in oil in high school and beyond. We have learned so much about the damaging results of the sun since then and now need to try and right a wrong with my skin. I met with Pam Hill, founder of Facial Aesthetics, last week. I wanted to do research on the company and make sure I was making the best and right decisions for my skin. I feel confident and excited after meeting with Pam and her team. I'll keep you posted on the results!!
I saw the new James Bond SKYFALL over the the weekend! Daniel Craig and M acknowledge they aren't spring chickens anymore but Craig's body looks like it could be! He is in incredible shape! Bond always has incredible cars in his movies-this time and an old favorite resurfaces! The Aston Martin DB5 that first appeared in Gold Finger with Sean Connery is in the new Skyfall almost 50 years later! Craig has signed on for at least 2 more Bond movies! ADD popcorn and hot tamales and It's a go see from me.
Happy Veterans Weekend! Sunday is actually Veterans day but we are celebrating here in Denver on Saturday beginning with a benefit run/walk at 8am at the Auraria Campus. The Denver Veterans Parade begins at 11am at the Pepsi Center winding its way over to the Civic Center! Bundle up and salute the men and women who protect us every day!!
