DIA set a new record for passengers passing through the Mile High City's airport, over 53 million people passed through Denver International Airport in 2012.

Denver International Airport’s (DIA) passenger traffic continued to grow in 2012, making it the busiest year in the airport’s history. A total of 4,308,760 passengers traveled through DIA in December 2012, bringing this year’s passenger traffic total to 53,156,278. The record-breaking year is a 0.6 percent increase over the previous record in 2011 of 52,849,132 passengers traveling through DIA. It is the fifth consecutive year that more than 50 million passengers have traveled through DIA annually.
