Denver Police announced Thursday afternoon that they have arrested a suspect in a recent hit-and-run that took the life of a 32- year-old woman on Sunday,
according to 9NEWS.

9NEWS has learned the owner of the vehicle is a mother who turned her 25-year-old son, Dennis Esquibel, into police. Esquibel later confessed to driving the car at the time of the crash, according to sources.
Sources tell 9NEWS Esquibel was arrested at 2 a.m. Thursday in his home. He was booked on a parole hold, vehicular homicide and leaving the scene of an accident.
