According to Larimer County

The Fern Lake fire is burning in Rocky Mtn. National Park in the vicinity of "The Pool" which is about 2 miles west of the Fern Lake Trail Head in Moraine Park. Specifically, the fire seems to be 1/4 to 1/2 mile west of The Pool. Fern Lake itself is another 1 1/2  miles or so west into the high country. The fire is unfortunately estimated to be between 100 and 150 acres at this time and smoke is easily visible from the town of Estes Park.

RMNP amd Estes Fire personnel and equipment are standing ready to respond as necessary. A request has been made also for response by the Larimer Co. Sheriff's Office Emergency Services Unit and they are en route with an engine and personnel. A SEAT (single engibe air tanker) has been ordered but it is unknown if it is working the fire Tuesday afternoon.
