Wow, I was surprised to see where the most germs are in our homes. Good Housekeeping just released a list of the 10 Germiest Places in Your Home and they are:

1. Underside of Rugs
2. Blinds
3. Credit Cards
4. Kitchen Trash Can
5. Plants
6. Purses
7. Top of the Refrigerator
8. Toothbrush Holder
9. Vacuum Cleaner Brushes & Attachments
10. Yoga Mat

I wouldn't have thought of household plants, so why plants, according to the list?

Outdoor plants are cleaned off by the rain, but houseplants become caked with dust. Spiff them up with water and a soft cloth, like an old t-shirt. Don't forget to inspect the dirt for mold. Overwatering plants can cause mold to develop on top of the soil. If you notice any, replace the soil.
