Though it may be over a thousand miles away, "Frankenstorm," Hurricane Sandy is causing problems in Denver and in Colorado. According to 9NEWS, 60 eastbound flights have already been canceled at DIA, and the storm isn't expected to hit land until Monday evening.

About 60 flights from Denver to the East Coast are being canceled because of Hurricane Sandy.
Airport officials said Monday the canceled flights are among 1,700 arrivals and departures the airport handles every day.

If you are flying this week, you should check with DIA about cancelations on their website or your airline.
There is already flooding in New Jersey and other East Coast areas in pictures being shared on Twitter.

Hurricane Sandy could affect as many as 60 million people.
"This is the most catastrophic event that we have faced and been able to plan for in any of our lifetimes," Connecticut Gov. Dan Malloy said.
