I miss that smell!

I don't know where you grew-up but if it was where you could rake up your leaves and burn them, wasn't that the best? I was back in Wisconsin last weekend, a small town, where it is still..OK..to burn leaves in the fall. It's a wonderful smell that really is fall!. I don't know where you live now, but in my neighborhood you can't burn leaves. I wish they would allow us to, wouldn't it be better than shipping thos leaves to some land fill just to clog it up??...Once -in-a-while I will smell those burning leaves in my neighborhood. I have to wonder ,is it my imgination taking be back,or is it someone in my hood that grew-up in a small town with that memory and is just cheating the system a little...just burning a little pile
