Show/hours: 9 a.m.-2 p.m. "It's good music, and that's why I took this job. I swear to God, I thought KOSI only played Neil Diamond and (stuff). Then I listened and it was Daughtry and matchbox-twenty. I can do that!" Selby said.

Favorite artists: The Police, the Fray, Frank Sinatra
How's this for musical variety: Jackie Selby's favorite concert of all time? Elvis Costello and the Clash in '86. A number of shows are right up there behind that concert, including Celine Dion's bash at the Pepsi Center last week.
"She is an amazing performer," Selby said last week from the KOSI studios. "I've heard about her Vegas show, but last night I hosted a suite at the show, and I was blown away by the level of her professionalism and her voice."
Selby, a proud Arizona native and pug owner, loves many things about radio.
1. The magic: "People think it's magic," she said. "It contains a huge amount of mystique to the general public."
2. The acting: "It's the easiest way to be an actor," she said, noting her minor in theater from Northern Arizona University. "I've been gainfully employed my entire career."
3. The hours: "It's not an eight-hour day for me," she said. "It's hard, concentrated work for the five hours I'm on the air, and then I have a few pieces of voice work and I can go home."
All the attention's not bad, either.
"It's good for the ego," she admits. "It's fun to have people wonder about you and listen to what you say and think that you're neat-o."
