KOSI and Maxfund have teamed up to raise awareness about the various options available when it comes to helping animals in shelters. Every week, KOSI will feature a new Pet of the Week with pictures, a bio and videos to show the friendly and loving pets that are looking for their forever homes!

Pet of the Week: Morticia
Hello! My name is Morticia. While my name is very unique, I promise I'm not "creepy" or "kooky" like my Addams Family namesake. But I am sleek, with silky black hair like her! I am a sweet girl, with a sunny personality to match my adorable face. I love getting pets and attention.

I came to MaxFund after I was found as a stray in a nice man's garage. I had been wandering around his neighborhood for a few weeks, and I guess I was ready to find myself a home! Luckily, he brought me here so I could find my forever home. I was adopted in 2010, but I was returned. I'm hoping that the second time is the charm and this time will be forever!

Do you think you can help me? I really hope so. I would love a home with tons of love, lots of toys, and warm sunny spots for me to lie in. I am friendly around other cats, so I wouldn't mind if I had a friend. I'm not sure how I am around dogs, but if we had a proper introduction, I'm sure that we could get along. I know that you will fall in love with me the moment you meet me so come see me at Maxfund today!

Maxfund is a nonprofit animal shelter complete with a Dog Adoption Center, Cat Adoption Center and an Animal Wellness Center. All buildings are located on 1005 Galapago st, Denver, CO. Maxfund is a unique center due to it's no-kill commitment. Simply put, the staff at Maxfund do everything in their power to ensure the healthy and prosperous survival of every animal that comes to them. Maxfund relies wholly on the generosity of volunteers, donations, grants and the support of the community for everything from medical supplies, cages and leashes to toys for the animals. Thanks to the immense outpouring of this support, Maxfund was able to build and renovate a completely new Dog Adoption Center that they proudly opened in 2013. Stop by the new building and visit with one or several of their friendly canines or felines today!

Maxfund has dogs and cats that are perfect for all types of personalities, families and commitment levels. Read bios, see pictures and watch videos of all the dogs and cats waiting to be fostered, adopted or donated to on Maxfund's website
