A FREEZE WARNING MEANS SUB-FREEZING TEMPERATURES ARE IMMINENT OR HIGHLY LIKELY. THESE CONDITIONS WILL KILL CROPS AND OTHER SENSITIVE OUTDOOR VEGETATION. IF POSSIBLE...MOVE PLANTS INDOORS TO PROTECT THEM FROM THE COLD. OTHERWISE COVER THEM WITH NEWSPAPERS OR BLANKETS.
The Freeze Warning for Denver is in effect from 4 a.m. to 9 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 4.
According to 9NEWS, the cold will be around for a couple days
Cool air will flirt with freezing early Thursday and Friday mornings so tender plants may need covering or extra care. Both weekend mornings will be at or below freezing so disconnecting hoses and draining sprinklers may be a good idea.
As the next batch of cold air moves in Friday some very light snow is possible overnight Friday into the early hours Saturday. Very little, if any accumulation is expected.
