IS IT ALL TOO MUCH????
altText
Each weekend I get up and turn on MSNBC to catch up on the latest news. I really like watching Alex Witt. Lately the news has been dominated by politics. While I find the process fascinating, I just wonder if it's all too much. There has to be other news! Don't get me wrong, I love the strategy of the candidates. I can relate it to the radio business, as to how we brand our radio stations, and position us different from our competition. It just seems like they over analysis everything, almost down to the significances of the candidate having his breakfast eggs over easy or scrambled! So, what to you think, is it all too much, or is it that you just can't get enough???

IT'S CRAZY FUN
altText
Have you been to a Colorado Mammoth game yet? If not, you have no idea what you're missing. I went last year for the first time, it was crazy fun. Lacrosse is kind of a combination of soccer, and hockey. It's in creditably fast paced. Guys run up and down the field and try to score a goal, while hitting each other with sticks. When an opposing player gets a penalty the crowd yells.."Get in the box". I'm going on Saturday night, game time is 7pm at The Pepsi Center.

READY FOR FOOTBALL, OR NOT
altText

So, now that the Denver Broncos are out of the playoffs, are you going to watch the NFC or AFC Championship games? Pretty good ones, too. Batlimore at New England, NE is 7 point favorites, and NY Giants at SF 49'ers, 9'ers are 2.5 point favorites. Not sure what that mans, think it has to do something about betting!!! For the NFC game I'm rooting for the Giants, having grown up in NY, they are onef my favorite teams. not so sure who to get behind in the AFC game. I have a lot of friends who are Steeeler fans, and they hate Baltimore, however, also as a New Yorker, we hate anything to do with Boston, or New England. Anyway, it's a good excuse to sit aruond the house on Sunday, have a few cold beverages, and eat some stuff not on my diet. Have a great weekend!

WHAT'S THE DEAL WITH THESE KIDS

Ok, all you people with grown kids, do you still have this problem? Are you still paying for car insurance, cell phones, etc? How about this, just when you think they're all out the home, they keep coming back. As "Baby Boomers" did we spoil are kids? We want them to have a better life then we did growing up, so today some of them(not all) have this huge entitlement issue. Everytime they have a rough time of it, we feel the need to bail them out. My daughter went through some personal issues lately, and my wife decided if she spent houdreds of dollars on her, it would make her feel better. Well it did, but now I feel sick!

What diet?????
altText
Have you ever tried to diet this time of year? Well it's a waste of time!!!! Every time you turn around, someone is handing you a cookie! Or every kind of holiday stuff on the "free table" at work. You just can't get away from it. All I can say it, forget it for now, and i'll see you at the gym in January, well at least for a few days!!

NEW FALL TV-ANYTHING GOOD??
altText
It's only the second night of Premier week, but I was impressed by the new CBS comedy "2 Broke Girls". Also, they need a great job with "Two and a Half Men". Ashton Kutcher was very funny and the show was written so well with lots of surprises.  Didn't see "The Playboy Club" on NBC. My wife wouldn't let me!!   Later in the week "Unforgettable" with Poppy Montgomery looks pretty good, the same for NBC's "Prime Suspect" with Maria Bello.  What do you think.  Below is a link to the entire new season! http://www.tvguide.com/special/fall-preview/fall-schedule.aspx

DID YOU SEE "THE HELP"
altText
Have you seen "The Help"? Amazing movie!  I'm predicting it will win Best Picture.  I grew up in the 60's in NY. While I did see some examples of racism, nothing like was portrayed in the South during that time. I was wondering if anybody grew up in the South and remembers some of the things shown in the movie. http://thehelpmovie.com/us/

THAT'S A SHAME!!
altText
I see Seinfeld in everything. No TV show has ever had more impact on me!   Just the other day I was making the bed, and I remembered the episode in which Jerry and George were in a hotel and one wanted the sheets tucked in the other didn't. It was "one tuck", " one no tuck".  Today while driving a let a car in my lane, and I got 'the wave", there was another Seinfeld story about that.  I even use the same expressions, when  somebody tells me something bad I say "That's a shame". When I surprised I say what Elaine used to say"Get Out", but I    the person! Last week there were muffins in the break room, I just ate the top of one, remember the episode when even the homeless people didn't want 'the stumps".  So in your everyday life, remember those special crazy moments, like when you go to rent a car, and they don't have the car you want, remember Jerry telling the agent"You know how to take a reservation, but you don't know how to keep a reservation"!  Oh, remember to wave your arms in the air, it adds to the effect!
