I love the Stockshow!

It's hard to believe the stockshow has come and gone already!..It's truly a real piece of the wes with real cowboys. We took the family last Saturday and had a great time. The kids loved seeing all the animals up close and to see the care they are given. The food you find is great..some of the best BBQ. The real fun is the rodeo!...you talk about athletes with real skill. I know you think Broncos...Nuggets..Avalanche...Rockies when it comes to great athletes. But imagine riding a horse that is trying to throw you off their back or a bull doing the same thing! Riding a horse full speed to rope an calf..or wrestling a calf to the ground after you dive off a horse at full speed..did the I mention the animals has horns!!... I take my cowboy hat ,that I wear once a year for the stockshow, off to salute real cowboys and athletes

The words of a 4 year old!!

I love my grandchildren dearly...I call them my gift from God. It's your reward for having to raise your children and be so fatherly all the time!..So yesterday I come home from work. We had a lunch meeting here at the station and I spilled a bit of salad dressing on my shirt..not good!.I walk in Carol says come to the laundry roon and take that shirt off so I can clean it up. My 4 year old Greyson ,who is truly an old soul, takes one look at me without my shirt on and proceeds to blurt out......PaPoo (thats what they all call me)...you have BOOBS just like mommy!!...Oh that was just perfect!...I crept upstairs and put on a shirt .......and laughed

Are they just arrogant?

I was watching the New England -Baltimore game on Sunday night..like many of you. Like many of you really wanting Baltimore to win and not just because they beat our Broncos. It is just a passion of not wanting New England to ever win. The just seem so arrogant ..when anything goes wrong they act shocked that it could happen to them! Maybe that is just good coaching..to alway expect to win and be right. Maybe it is the arrogance that comes from their head coach...Bill Belichick. I was somewhat convinced of that when after the game he didn't come out to talk to the press. Apparently he alway does that most of the time or a least for the playoff games when they lose. I love it when in their poat-game wrap-up Shannon Sharpe called him out over it!

Curse of the Orange Jerseys!

WOW..I don't know about you but I'm still recovering from the Bronco loss on Saturday...it was horrible!...Lots of finger pointing on that one, we won't get into that one now. However a friend of mine brought up the curse of the orange jerseys.

How the Broncos could never win the big games until they went to the Blue Jerseys and won 2 superbowls! The playoff game they won last season they wore blue jerseys. What color did they wear on Saturday?..yup..ORANGE!...is there such a thing as...THE CURSE OF THE ORANGE JERSEY!!

Go Broncos!!

Hope you all had a great holiday..ours was super. So much fun to come back after the holidays and not experience the usual holiday blues with all the work you've done and the let down!....Not this year...the Broncos are hot and playing some great football..nice pick me up. The Ravens in town this weekend with the Ray Lewis farewell tour! Great player..but can't he just go away quietly!...I don't want to see his famous dance on our home turf....if he does the dance don't you think that will fire the boys up even more?....or should we just ignore it out of respect....I say don't even do it!
