Kathy Griffin: “I was stood up one time. It was supposed to be a fix-up. I had this girlfriend saying ‘Oh, this guy is so great and so sweet . . .’ And then he absolutely stood me up. I was sitting in my studio apartment on Centinela Avenue in Santa Monica where I lived for eight years. One room for eight years. Sitting there in the dress, and the call never came. Just sad — where you take the dress off and put the PJs on and order a pizza and turn on ‘Oprah.’ I was probably like 25. I finally recovered. Lots of therapy.”
Emily Maynard (“The Bachelor”): “One year I went out with this guy for the first time, and he was so rude to the waitress I was mortified. I was like ‘I live down the street from here!’ He didn’t leave her a tip. I went back the next day, and I apologized and I never talked to that guy again.”
Ali Sweeney (“The Biggest Loser”): “My husband will kill me . . . One time my husband had been working so late, and he ended up falling asleep right before we were supposed to go to dinner. And we ended up having to go to a late-night dinner at like 11 at night.”
