Lane Closures: Various single lane and shoulder closures continue on east and westbound U.S.. 36 this week for barrier setting, striping guardrail removal for the new temporary traffic alignment, and sign removal and replacement. Starting Sunday, Oct. 7 and continuing through Tuesday, Oct. 9, expect closures to be more heavily concentrated on the west end of the corridor between Sheridan Boulevard and East Interlocken Loop. Also starting Tuesday, Oct. 9, through Friday, Oct. 12, work will move further east on the corridor, from Sheridan Boulevard to Federal Boulevard. East and westbound single lane closures will continue from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
U.S. 36 Double Left Lane Closure on Tuesday, Oct. 9: Major sign removal and replacement will be taking place on eastbound U.S. 36 on Tuesday, Oct. 9, from 10 p.m. through 5 a.m. This work requires a double lane closure starting ¼ mile west of Westminster Boulevard and continuing to the 80th Street bridge overpass on U.S. 36. Motorists should expect delays and avoid the area if at all possible. Signs and uniformed traffic control will be in place to help motorists navigate the closure. Patch asphalt work will also occur during this scheduled closure.
Temporary closure of Big Dry Creek Trail — The Big Dry Creek Trail will be completely closed between the West 103rd Avenue trail intersection and the Westminster Boulevard trail undercrossing from Monday, Oct. 8, to Friday, Nov. 16. The closure will be in place to allow crews to reconstruct the undercrossing. A detour route that utilizes 104th Avenue will be in place and signed appropriately.
