Soon after inventing the first practical light bulb, inventor Thomas Alva Edison exclaimed “One Day, thousands of tiny versions of my brilliant new invention will be displayed across an entire Zoo. They will be displayed in alternating colors, they will blink, move and mimic the shape of hundreds of different fun and exciting animals.” Ok… so maybe Edison never said that, but we bet he would be pretty impressed if he were to take a stroll at the Denver Zoo’s Zoo Lights! KOSI 101's Jingle Jam 2011 was once again a phenomenal event! We had fantastic performances from Richard Marx, Alicia Witt and Rachel James and all with some of our very lucky winners. Not to mention a great breakfast from the Hard Rock Cafeon 16th Street.

2011 brought the Denver area a bit of chilly weather this year for Halloween and Boo at the Zoo and Boo at the Zoo After Dark. Brave trick-or-treaters and their parents ventured to the Denver Zoo anyway for a delightful time getting candy, makingcrafts and other fun Halloween activities.

KOSI 101, FOX 31 and a handful of other media outlets went to INVESCO Field at Mile High to get a glimpse at the thousands of “American Idol” hopefuls waiting to audition in front of a panel of judges. It was a private office party for winners from Denver Health Medical Center - and they had a great breakfast, prizes PLUS live performances from American Idol top finishers Katharine McPhee & Brooke White... and rock legends Foreigner. It was Murphy's birthday so Ms McPhee serenaded Murph while sitting on his lap!
