KOSI and Maxfund have teamed up to raise awareness about the various options available when it comes to helping animals in shelters. Every week, KOSI will feature a new Pet of the Week with pictures, a bio and videos to show the friendly and loving pets that are looking for their forever homes!
Pet of the Week: Josie
Hello, I'm Josie. Thank you so much for reading about me today. I'm so lonely here at the shelter and am so looking forward to having a companion. Why am I lonely you ask? Well, let me first tell you that I am a sweet and loving kitty. But when I came to MaxFund, I didn't do well in the cage and kept lunging at the bars when people walked by me. It's partly because it took me a while to feel comfortable and didn't always act appropriately, which made people nervous. Now when people visit, I am friendly and want pets. I may even sit in your lap. Although I am now friendly and wanting contact with people, my reputation proceeds me. So I get really lonely
You're probably wondering how I ended up here at MaxFund. I was brought in because my owner cared enough to find me a new home. I was turning aggressive towards my owner, after the baby started walking.
Even after having an evaluation, I was not happy, and this was what motivated my owner to find me a new home.
I do get nervous easily and will hiss or run away from you if I get scared. With each day I get better though, and I now sit in laps and enjoy pets. I think it would be best if I lived in a quiet home without kids (who make fast movements and lots of noise). I would love someone who is understanding, patient and compassionate.
I love to play!!! I'll even run across the room to capture the feather. Are you someone who likes to play? If so, we could be good friends. I hope you will find that I am the cat for you. I deserve to live my life with happiness, peace and love--and maybe some sunshine and a warm bed. Please come visit today and ask for me--Josie!
Check back next week to see which four-legged friend is the new Pet of the Week!
