Make Someone's Day and Yours.. Volunteer!
Here's a great volunteer opportunity. I've been a weekly volunteer for the past couple of years for RFB&D. It's very enjoyable. There are lots of great people who volunteer, all from various professional and educational backgrounds and all very interesting people. The books produced are of a wide range of subjects. I learn something new each time I volunteer--either from the book I'm recording or from one of the other volunteers!
 The Rocky Mountain Unit of the Recording for the Blind and Dyslexic is now recruiting volunteers. RFB&D, a national nonprofit organization, was founded in 1951 with a mission to provide recorded textbooks to students--kindergarten through graduate school and beyond-- who are blind, visually impaired, learning or physically disabled. Volunteer opportunities at RFB&D are varied and include: Readers, Directors, Bookmarkers, Office Assistants, and School Outreach.
