Volunteers of America Adopt a Family
The Volunteers of America Family Adoption is full for 2014. We are still accepting donors who would like to adopt a family for the Holidays.
Every holiday season Volunteers of America's Adopt-A-Family program provides Christmas gifts for struggling families. Donors interested in adopting a family, small or large, are matched with a family that meet the requested "Family Gift Profile" or simply known as "wish list." The Family Gift Profile identifies the family members' gender, ages, and sizes along with several gift ideas supplied directly by the family members themselves. A general guideline for gift values is $50 or less for each family member. The donor shops for the gifts, tags them, and delivers them to a designated Volunteers of America location on the appointed day (usually mid December). Adopted families and donors remain anonymous to protect their confidentiality.

What can you do to protect your family from the flu virus?
Kids touch and play with everything so their chance of getting the flu is higher than an adult’s. Keep your family safe by reminding everyone to wash their hands, or use an alcohol based hand sanitizer. You can also use a regular household disinfectant to wipe down surfaces everyday. Pay particular attention to counter tops, kids’ toys, computer key boards and phones, along with door knobs. So remember to stay safe and Give Health a Hand with UnitedHealthcare.
UnitedHealthcare can help you make smart decisions about your health and provide you with tools to help you get and stay healthy. Click Here

One of the greatest and easiest ways to spread some holiday cheer to people in need is through our Holidays for Kids event. This December, Concerts For Kids will bring joy to more than 2,100 children in the greater Denver area thanks to the generous support of our donors, sponsors and volunteers. Children will participate in face painting, balloon artistry, cookie decorating, carolers and at the end of the day, will meet Santa and take home a backpack full of books and presents. In 2013, Concerts For Kids distributed nearly 25,000 gifts and projects the same for 2014.
